What is Salsa Casino?
Salsa
Casino, also known as Salsa Rueda, is Salsa danced in a circle.
Couples form a circle in which one person calls or signals the different
moves. Depending on the call the couples dance intricate combinations
and turns or switch partners. It is a fast paced, beautifully synchronized,
exciting dance.

Some Salsa experience is required for the Salsa
Casino classes (including Salsa Casino 1). The minimum experience
for Salsa Casino 1 classes is Salsa at the level of a completed
Salsa I course.
Attire: Dress comfortably.
Footwear: Court shoes with ankle straps that secure the shoe to
your feet. Sneakers or track shoes. No
slippers or sandals
Salsa Casino 1
Our Salsa Casino 1 courses are structured 8-week classes (one
hour per week) that cover the fundamentals of Salsa Casino. At the
end of 8 weeks, you should be able to join in a Rueda or Casino
circle on the social dance floor.
Dance experience at the level of our Salsa 1
is required for this class, because the casino patterns are built
on Salsa 1 fundamentals.
Due to the nature of Salsa Casino, we will
rotate partners frequently, so you will be able to do the Salsa
Casino with anybody and everybody.
Salsa Casino 2
Our Salsa Casino 2 classes are structured into 2 x 8-week courses of Syllabi A and B. Salsa Casino 2 builds on Salsa Casino 1, by
consolidating the fundamentals you learnt in Salsa Casino 1. Our
objective in Salsa 2 is to expand your Salsa Casino vocabulary.
At the end of 16 weeks of Salsa Casino II classes and practice on the social dance floor, you should
be quite comfortable lead calling Salsa Casino. Like Salsa
Casino 1, you don't need to bring a partner, but Salsa Casino experience
at the level of Salsa Casino I is a must.
Salsa Casino 3
(Ongoing classes - by invitation only)
Salsa Casino 3 classes are ongoing. The Salsa Casino 3 syllabus
includes longer complicated moves, including Master level and lead/follow
switching-type variations.
